WOLF'S B-DAY PARTY
My parents threw Wolf a 2nd Birthday BBQ at their house a couple weeks ago. Here are photos from the afternoon. The little boys played in the yard, opened boat-loads of presents and enjoyed a cake topped with construction trucks. Actually, just Riv ate the cake. Wolf found it too foreign to try. It was a great way to celebrate this spunky little boy together with family. Threads: Me: Shirt: Topshop Denim: Closed Jacket: Topshop Shoes: Adidas - Stan Smith On the Boys: All Zara

TO WOLF ON HIS 2ND BIRTHDAY
My Wolfgang, Today, while taking your photo to mark this day, your second birthday, I realized how difficult it is to get a photo of you not smiling. You either have to be eating, watching a movie intently or concentrating on a book for me to capture a moment of you without your head thrown back, nose scrunched, chin to the sky and smile stretched ear to ear. I think this experience today, sums you up pretty nicely. You are fiercely independent but boy, do you love to be held

NEW VIDEO
I try to take little “home videos” here and there either on instastories, just my iPhone or my vlogging camera. There are some gems in there but I have a difficult time storing them in an organized way, especially if the clips are so short and infrequent. I would love to hear how other people do this with digital footage. Do you make monthly folders by date or store clips of the kids by age or something else? **Maybe message me, since I haven’t figured out a good way to do a

THE GOLDEN EIGHT
1. Wayne, the boys and I spent last week in Utah and it was the bomb (I don't think people say that anymore). I only have iPhone photos but I think I'll do a little post to document it. 2. I have been listening to this book, "How Not to Die" and it has been extremely informative...and a little terrifying. Wayne and I have been slowly creating healthier eating habits and I think the only way I will get them to stick is by is to really educating myself on what the food I'm eati

THE BAY WITH THE BOYS
I just found these pics of the boys and I playing in the bay from about a month ago while Wayne was still out of town. Both our boys are fairly timid around water (especially River) but I was so impressed to see them going right in to splash around. River stood in the same spot the entire time and watched the water roll over his collection of cars he brought while Wolfie ran up and down the coastline, falling head first in several times, only to pop back up and continue playi

THE GOLDEN EIGHT
1. River asked me yesterday, while watching my dad look at his garden with a focused look on his face, "What is grandpa thinking?" Does this mean he is self aware enough to understand that other people besides himself have thoughts? It was super cute and makes me so excited of all of our conversations to come. He turns 3 at the end of this month and so far, this kid has just gotten better with age. (He also knows all the words to "Thunder" and it makes me want to cry and toni

BEACH MAYHEM
Here are about a hundred million photos of the boys and I at the beach. My mom and I took the kiddos to Lemonade to grab dinner a couple nights ago and the plan was to picnic it up on the beach but once the boys hit the sand they went WILD and getting through a meal was not an option. I used to be able to take them to the beach by myself but they (eh hem I'm looking at you Wolfie) are going through a stage where they run in different directions and let's just say it's getting

WEDDING WEEKEND AND MOTHER'S DAY THOUGHTS
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! We just got back from Utah where my little sister, Cassidy got married to her love and boy, was it beautiful! I don't have much documentation of the weekend because of how chaotic it was and also these two bundles of chaos that we are holding in the photos below. I started a vlog, which I might put together just for us but it just got too crazy to keep it going. Plus, I barely had my phone on me (to everyone who was trying to get a hold of me's dismay) so

BEACH AFTERNOON AND THE MORNING AFTER
The afternoon hours can be tricky as a parent. Our boys want to be out of the house and a lot of the time, I want to be getting things done around the house. They usually win and my favorite place to take them is the beach. They love that I give them the independence to go further away me then I would normally let them because the beach is pretty empty by our house and the land is flat so I can see them from a distance. They play together, pouring sand on one another's head,
