WOLF'S B-DAY PARTY
My parents threw Wolf a 2nd Birthday BBQ at their house a couple weeks ago. Here are photos from the afternoon. The little boys played in the yard, opened boat-loads of presents and enjoyed a cake topped with construction trucks. Actually, just Riv ate the cake. Wolf found it too foreign to try. It was a great way to celebrate this spunky little boy together with family. Threads: Me: Shirt: Topshop Denim: Closed Jacket: Topshop Shoes: Adidas - Stan Smith On the Boys: All Zara

NEW VIDEO
I try to take little “home videos” here and there either on instastories, just my iPhone or my vlogging camera. There are some gems in there but I have a difficult time storing them in an organized way, especially if the clips are so short and infrequent. I would love to hear how other people do this with digital footage. Do you make monthly folders by date or store clips of the kids by age or something else? **Maybe message me, since I haven’t figured out a good way to do a

THE BAY WITH THE BOYS
I just found these pics of the boys and I playing in the bay from about a month ago while Wayne was still out of town. Both our boys are fairly timid around water (especially River) but I was so impressed to see them going right in to splash around. River stood in the same spot the entire time and watched the water roll over his collection of cars he brought while Wolfie ran up and down the coastline, falling head first in several times, only to pop back up and continue playi

BEACH AFTERNOON AND THE MORNING AFTER
The afternoon hours can be tricky as a parent. Our boys want to be out of the house and a lot of the time, I want to be getting things done around the house. They usually win and my favorite place to take them is the beach. They love that I give them the independence to go further away me then I would normally let them because the beach is pretty empty by our house and the land is flat so I can see them from a distance. They play together, pouring sand on one another's head,

AFTERNOON AT THE PARK
The fellas and I hit the park on Saturday after the little ones woke up from their naps. Neither of them have really adjusted to the (1 hour!) time change so they have been waking up from their naps around 5 pm. I don't mind getting to sleep-in in the morning but we are pretty much under house arrest all afternoon until they are up. I have been having a bit of a hard time lately, for no specific reason just one of the normal dips that we all go through. Sometimes it feels li

FAMILY TRIP TO THE FARM
Wayne left for a work trip to Europe yesterday (and I will be meeting him soon at a very exciting location!) but before he left, we wanted to do something special with the kids all together. We took the boys over to a local farm, Tanaka Farms to take a tractor tour and go strawberry picking. I am not sure what the kids enjoyed more, the bumpy ride or stuffing their faces with as many berries as they could gather. It was a great little outing, Not a ton of people, a perfect le

SMOKE+MIRRORS N.A. TOUR: DENVER AND RIVER'S BIRTHDAY
Our little River turned one on one of the last days of tour. Unfortunately, his birthday fell on a day that we were stuck driving in the bus until late afternoon but we made it work. Once we got to Denver, River and I dropped our luggage off and went for a walk downtown. It was beautiful weather and the city was full of very colorful people. We grabbed a smoothie to split and took in the last hours of sunshine. Obviously River didn't know that it was his birthday and there wa

SMOKE+MIRRORS N.A. TOUR: HOTEL ROOM FUN
We didn't bring toys for River on this tour which is kind of a miracle seeing how he is now, always with a car in hand. So he entertained himself by playing with our suitcases and wearing us out. The most terrifying thing about the idea of touring with two kids is the amount of stuff, especially because of River's current car/truck obsession. The amount of times you have to carry your suitcases in and out of venues and hotels is ridiculous. And don't get me started on all the

MORNING BOYS
My morning boys are my favorite boys. Here is another throwback post of these two hooligans. These photos are from two separate mornings in their natural play. I can't remember when these were taken exactly but I can tell they were when River was in his 'obsessed with dad's music videos stage' and also these were taken right after I gave him a terrible haircut. Also, about River's hair, it is so thick and fluffy and has a gazillion cowlicks and I am very curious to see how th
