AFTERNOON AT THE PARK
The fellas and I hit the park on Saturday after the little ones woke up from their naps. Neither of them have really adjusted to the (1 hour!) time change so they have been waking up from their naps around 5 pm. I don't mind getting to sleep-in in the morning but we are pretty much under house arrest all afternoon until they are up.
I have been having a bit of a hard time lately, for no specific reason just one of the normal dips that we all go through. Sometimes it feels like the worst because I can't quite put my finger on what is wrong. How do you solve a problem when you don't know what the problem is? My patience has been short, as has my attention span and my optimism has fizzed to a more pessimistic outlook. This day was particularly tough for me but it was nice to end the evening goofing around at the park with my favorite people. It was a beautiful sunset and I really enjoyed photographing the light shining through the trees. For those couple hours, my spirits were lifted.
Currently, I feel like I am almost out of my funk and back to my normal self. I could have not said any of that in this post but I felt it would have been inauthentic not to show the context of the experience.
Cheers to a better tomorrow.
