WOLF'S B-DAY PARTY
My parents threw Wolf a 2nd Birthday BBQ at their house a couple weeks ago. Here are photos from the afternoon. The little boys played in the yard, opened boat-loads of presents and enjoyed a cake topped with construction trucks. Actually, just Riv ate the cake. Wolf found it too foreign to try. It was a great way to celebrate this spunky little boy together with family. Threads: Me: Shirt: Topshop Denim: Closed Jacket: Topshop Shoes: Adidas - Stan Smith On the Boys: All Zara

THAILAND: TEMPLE IN CHIANG MAI
We were lucky enough to visit several Buddhist temples during our stay in Thailand. This is the first temple saw in Chiang Mai and it's called Wat Chedi Luang. The temple's construction began in the 14th Century and after 10 years of construction was left unfinished until the mid 15th century. After substantial earthquake damage, the structure was completed in the 1990s. While at the temple, we were able to sit in on a monk chant and walk around the grounds at dusk. It was a

NEW VIDEO
I try to take little “home videos” here and there either on instastories, just my iPhone or my vlogging camera. There are some gems in there but I have a difficult time storing them in an organized way, especially if the clips are so short and infrequent. I would love to hear how other people do this with digital footage. Do you make monthly folders by date or store clips of the kids by age or something else? **Maybe message me, since I haven’t figured out a good way to do a

THE BAY WITH THE BOYS
I just found these pics of the boys and I playing in the bay from about a month ago while Wayne was still out of town. Both our boys are fairly timid around water (especially River) but I was so impressed to see them going right in to splash around. River stood in the same spot the entire time and watched the water roll over his collection of cars he brought while Wolfie ran up and down the coastline, falling head first in several times, only to pop back up and continue playi

PEACH SWIMSUIT & SUMMER TO-DO LIST
Beachin' it up a lot this summer and it feels good. I can't believe it's August! We finally have Wayne home for a few weeks and I am excited to fill our last month before traveling with quality time at home together. Here is a list of summer activities I want to pursue: * More bike rides (if Wolfie gets over his new fear of the trailer) * Juicing in our new juicer! * Paddle boarding through the harbor * U.S. Open of Surfing * Our city's Farmer's Market & Street Fair because

A LETTER TO RIVER ON HIS THIRD BIRTHDAY
To my Little River, Right now, life with you is exciting, rewarding, surprising and tiring, if I am being completely honest. You love hard and you whine hard. You are a mama's boy, a stubborn little cookie and are getting smart enough to shape a situation to your favor. You are starting to branch off from copying sentences you have heard and come up with your own ideas. You are handsome as all hell. You flash your blue eyes at strangers and they are soon eating out of your pa

THE GOLDEN EIGHT
1. River asked me yesterday, while watching my dad look at his garden with a focused look on his face, "What is grandpa thinking?" Does this mean he is self aware enough to understand that other people besides himself have thoughts? It was super cute and makes me so excited of all of our conversations to come. He turns 3 at the end of this month and so far, this kid has just gotten better with age. (He also knows all the words to "Thunder" and it makes me want to cry and toni

ORANGE ONE-PIECE
One-piece swimsuits have become my best friend this summer. I feel so comfortable running around in them when I am with the boys and I am so happy to see that they are back in style (aka there are finally cute options out there). Don't get me wrong, I love a good bikini as much as the next girl, especially for a low key afternoon. However, It is one thing for your stomach to look good when you are laying out but it a whole other thing to have a good looking stomach when you'

BEACH MAYHEM
Here are about a hundred million photos of the boys and I at the beach. My mom and I took the kiddos to Lemonade to grab dinner a couple nights ago and the plan was to picnic it up on the beach but once the boys hit the sand they went WILD and getting through a meal was not an option. I used to be able to take them to the beach by myself but they (eh hem I'm looking at you Wolfie) are going through a stage where they run in different directions and let's just say it's getting
