MORNING BOYS
My morning boys are my favorite boys. Here is another throwback post of these two hooligans. These photos are from two separate mornings in their natural play. I can't remember when these were taken exactly but I can tell they were when River was in his 'obsessed with dad's music videos stage' and also these were taken right after I gave him a terrible haircut. Also, about River's hair, it is so thick and fluffy and has a gazillion cowlicks and I am very curious to see how th

RACHEL GREEN OVERALLS
I have been working on an essay that I wanted to have done by our anniversary which was yesterday but I think it still needs some work so for now here are photos Wayne took of Wolfie and I getting some fresh air while River napped today. It has been raining all weekend so it was felt so good to be outside for a little bit. I wanted to wear something comfortable for our Sunday getting things done around the house. My top is from Brandy Melville ($23) and my overalls are from U

MORNING FACES
Here is another throwback post of River's morning face (with his long hair!) I just don't want to forget one expression that he made at this age and for some reason morning faces are just the greatest. I really enjoy being a mom, more than I ever thought I would actually, but it isn't always rainbows. Even on my worst days, this curious little Moon River keeps me laughing. #goldengang #family #california #home

SUNSET
If my kids could live outdoors, they would. I'm guessing that is common with children, maybe the fresh air and constant possibility of stumbling upon an adventure fuels their tiny little bodies. Or possibly, for us, it's just that we gave our kids nature names ;) We are so fortunate to live close to the beach and as often as we can, we run outside to snag those last moments before the sun hits the water. Golden Hour (the hour or so after sunrise and the hour or so before suns

THE TOLMANS ARE BACK
Our besties, Brittany and Andrew, just moved back to California! To celebrate, I am posting some photos from when they visited a couple months ago. We have been friends for over 10 years, not to mention they are responsible for Wayne and I meeting so we kind of owe them everything. I couldn't be happier to have them back. These two are as kind as they are talented and they are ridiculously talented. To check out their new music as a husband and wife duo click the link: TOLMA

BLUE JEAN BABY
Over the last couple years, I have accumulated a small collection of vintage Levi's. I love a good non-stretch pair of denim with a pragmatical attitude. I usually go simple when it comes to what I wear with mine. I feel like the Levi's label has come to be a statement accessory all it's own. I normally reach for a white/vintage T or a chunky sweater but they are easy to dress up with a glitzy shoe. Yes, I am certain these would look better on me if I were several inches tall

MATCHING WITH RIVER
I did not buy these pieces to match but it doesn't surprise me that we do in fact have almost the exact shirt. I love a good flannel and some inexpensive pieces from Zara. **The sun had just set so we tried to make these photos work even though there was very little light. Sorry for the blur. On me: Shirt + Denim: Zara Shoes: Gucci On River: Shirt + Shoes: Zara Jeans: Levi's #home #family #goldenthreads #fashion

RAINY DAY
Posting this one today since it was another beautiful rainy day in California, they are always my favorite. On this particular day, Wolfie had just woken up from his nap so I asked Wayne to take a couple pics of us to document him becoming 10-months-old and also that amazing "just woke up face" which featured a giant crease down the side of his face. It's all about the little things, you know? On Me: Sweater: TopShop (similar) Skirt: Madewell (similar) Rain Boots: Hunter On

FASHION POSTS???
I am toying around with the idea of posting some fashion stuff. Not sure if anyone cares to see that...hell, I am not sure if I care enough to actually share but I do love getting dressed everyday, even if it is just into my favorite sweat pants so I thought I would post about it from time to time. I worked at a media company out of college in Santa Monica and was able to contribute to the Tyra Banks website (is that still a thing?) and it was my job to categorize all of the
