PEPLUM
I went to South Coast Plaza last week with my mama and aunt Beth to help my aunt find a swimsuit for her up coming trip to Hawaii *of which we were successful. We then stopped into H&M to pick up my lil' boys some shorts because I have been rotating through the same couple pairs and it is hot as hell this summer. River and Wolf basically (more like literally) roll around in the dirt most the day with their dump trucks and excavators so two pairs don't cut it! On my way to the

CHANEL BAG...WELL, SORT OF
While at my parent's house a few weeks ago, I peaked into my old closet only to find this precious white Chanel bag. No, it is not real but holding it brings back some of my favorite memories. When I was 18, I went to New York for the first time with my two best friends. We earned our money from our graduation gifts, jobs at a frozen yogurt place and a huge yard sale and we couldn't be more excited and proud of how grown up we were. We were tourists to the max with museum tri

TAN, RED & BLACK
For some reason, I am obsessed with this color combo right now. I never really loved red and black together but it's definitely a big trend right now and after seeing so much inspiration, I am hopping on the train. I have figured a good way to ease myself into this is by adding a pop of tan or white into the mix. It feels less harsh to me and more suited for my aesthetic. Give it a try if you are feeling trendy;) What I'm Wearing Red Blouse: Urban Outfitters (a few months old

STRIPED AND OFF THE SHOULDER
Went to the beach with my sissy, Danica last week before our trip to Utah. I am not gonna lie, it felt good to take advantage of having a sitter and taking some time to relax kid-free at the beach before our trip to Utah. Little did I know how needed that break would be. The boys did great on our trip but even happy toddlers are WILD toddlers. I had my mom and sister with me and it was still an exhausting experience but we had a great time. What I'm Wearing Swimsuit: TopShop

COMFY IN THE SUMMERTIME
Summer is not usually my favorite season style-wise, but lately I have really enjoyed the ease of throwing on a light dress. It's three steps and done. Dress. Shoes. Sunglasses. I usually pair my skirts and dresses with an edgier boot, otherwise I feel too cliche or ladylike. I live in a beach town so sometimes the sandals work, but for when I'm not on the sand, I try to avoid the head-to-toe summery looks. What I'm Wearing Dress: Irene's Story Shoes: AllSaints (4 Years old)

SHOULDER PADS FOR DAYS
Well, it may be obvious from these photos but one of my favorite movies is Working Girl (here is advice from the movie that is still applicable today). I think playing with shape and volume with an outfit can be really fun and while I don't think I always have the right body type to do that (#shortgirlproblems), sometimes you just have to go for it. On this particularly gloomy day, I paired this oversized, cropped blazer from Stylenanda with a simple camisole, my Levis and my

FLOWERS FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER
I am starting to feel a little healthier so my sister and I got out to grab lunch and to run into Sephora to get more of my tanning towelettes because as you can see from these photos...I am pretty pasty without them. The Kate Sommerville one's are my favorite. They are easy to use, mess-free and I suggest them to pretty much everyone I know. So that is my tanning public service announcement. You're Welcome ;) My blouse is from Topshop and I am loving the shape of it. I feel

ORANGE SILK
Our family has been hit by two flus in a row (and most recently an ear infection for me) and to say that we are SOOO DONE would be an understatement. But I am happy to say that we are all almost through the worst of it. Now please keep that in mind as you see these red-nosed, glazed-eyed photos of me from the weekend. This is what I wore to my cousin, Bryn's baby shower. This orange top made me feel cheery even though I was under the weather. Apparently I also felt brave, bec

LAGUNA WITH THE GIRLS
This is the second Friday in a row that I have driven down to Laguna with my mom and sisters. I have always had a soft spot for the town but lately I feel like it has my heart. I have traveled to a lot of cities but there are only a few that really feel like "me" and Laguna is one of them. Last week we went on a beach walk, but this week we decided to stroll around downtown and grab lunch. The first store we went to was LF Laguna. I had never heard of it, but my sister, Danic
